I agree as long as you mean small icons (size of text font)

I have my music in /data/mp3/artist name/cd title/song.
There are 442 subdirectories in /data/mp3
Large icons take too much space on the screen and make it look too similar.
It's not only eye-candy users want, also easy navigation.
