-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Karl,
I'm (currently) the RPM packager for freevo. As far as I know, the lsdvd and mmpython packages are available and updated. Is your yum.conf correct? There was a change in the freevo repository path recently to cater for FC2/3 & FC4 package differences. Pls check http://freevo.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/doc/Fedora for more details. I've just released FC4 packages this week, I haven't had a chance to release FC2 packages yet since I don't have any FC2 systems available other than my actual Freevo media box at home. > isn't working properly and thought as it shouldn't take too much of > my time I wouldn't mind rebuilding packages and maintaining the > repository. It should rebuild successfully on FC2/3. The freevo.spec file and the redhat-boot_config files are what you'll need to maintain and update for any 1.5.x releases. (I haven't commited it into CVS since the SF repository for freevo is no longer used, and I don't believe I have commit access to the new SVN server). (In the Freevo SVN repository, look under contrib/rpm. All the spec files and relevant patches were kept there and updated by myself previously. I think a lot of the files are now obsolete, and should be cleaned up for 2.0) > I doubt that this would take up much time, updates coming out fairly > infrequently. > > Regards, > Karl > Actually, I was looking for someone to take over the maintenance of the RPM packages for freevo, but until now no one has officially come forward. I'd be glad to hand over the responsibility to you as I find myself having not enough time to keep up with freevo development (esp. the 2.0 line) :) If you're willing to take over, and Dischi agrees, then you should be given 'release technician' (?) access for the Freevo Sourceforge project. If you plan on releasing official freevo packages, then you should also generate your own GPG-key and upload it to the freevo fedora subdirectory, to enable signed packages to be verified. It's ok for me to be dropped from the project at that point in time. I'm still subscribed to the mailing lists so I'll probably be in lurking mode for a while. I've created some SPEC files the kaa and freevo-2.0, but they're still very crude and not ready to be committed to SVN (until there's an official 2.0 tgz released) since the package contents are still rather fluid at this point.
