Indeed. The code is in kaa svn, under kaa/canvas/test/animation/menu.py. See http://freevo.org/kaa for checkout instructions. The main purpose behind this code is to test (and demo) the animation engine in kaa.canvas. But note kaa.canvas will be deprecated in the near future by its successor, kaa.candy. (Another nice feature would be sub-pixel precision so things like the Ken Burns effect are possible.)
