I've recently had a serious issue with recordings being incorrect. My
system has a pair of PVR-150 tuners and I had originally set up video1
as view and video0 as record. I recently decided to flip which tuner
was my view and record card. Bad idea. The recordserver would fire
up; however, it was always the wrong channel. The logs revealed the
channel information was being sent to /dev/video0 (my updated view
card) while the recordserver was recording from /dev/video1 (my updated
record card). Flipping them back fixed the issue. Since I use Xine,
which defaults to /dev/video0 for the PVR plugin, I want to keep them
as video0 for view, video1 for record.
With all that in mind, I notice that the local_conf.py has some
additional vars for TV viewing and recording, namely TV_SETTINGS and
TV_DEVICE. How are these vars used in conjunction with the
recordserver? And do we need to add a var, specifically
TV_RECORD_DEVICE, so the recordserver always picks the correct device?
Thanks!
Michael
