Indeed, I did not have dbus-python bindings installed on this machine. Yes, warnings would have been cool. At least, I got a "hal not found on dbus" warning, which I could fix by restarting hald (god knows why this was necessary, maybe some hibernation brittleness). But now, with hal and pmount, I still get the "mount: Konnte /dev/hdc nicht in /etc/fstab oder /etc/mtab finden" error. I updated to revision 3616 to test your media-related fixes, but obviously, I had bad luck: 2008-10-12 20:29:41,655 [ERROR] beacon-daemon(260): beacon startup Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/beacon-daemon", line 228, in <module> server = kaa.beacon.server.BeaconServer(database) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/kaa/beacon/server/__init__.py", line 36, in BeaconServer return server.Server(database) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/kaa/beacon/server/server.py", line 96, in __init__ timestamp = (int, ATTR_SEARCHABLE)) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/kaa/beacon/server/server.py", line 253, in register_file_type_attrs return self._db.register_object_type_attrs(type_name, indexes, **attrs) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/kaa/beacon/server/db.py", line 296, in register_object_type_attrs type, indices, *args, **kwargs) TypeError: register_object_type_attrs() takes at most 3 non-keyword arguments (4 given) 2008-10-12 20:29:41,668 [ERROR] rpc(282): Socket closed before authentication completed Sorry, but I am feeling ill and only spent 5 minutes on this; will go to bed now. :-( I hope I find the time and energy to look at this again soon. -- Ciao, / / .o. /--/ ..o / / ANS ooo
