Yes it is the purpose of vg to generate TV_VIDEO_GROUPS that can be used
as a starting point for the local_conf.py. The script should ignore
non-v4l compatible devices, but I don't have any so it is difficult to
develop.

I did write some code to scan the network but the driver crashed after
scanning a number of frequencies.
