My freevo box runs debian etch, which comes with python 2.4...

There is an etch package for python 2.5, so this would not be a huge deal.
I figure I'd probably have to change #!/usr/bin/env python at the top of
the freevo script to something else, though, since the default python
would still be 2.4...

In other words, not a big deal if it is documented in the release instructions.
