Hello list,

For some friends who have a big django-based project going on
(http://streema.com) I've recommended to them the use of kaa.metadata, in
order to find out information about each audio stream. They have a mind-
boggingly big catalog of online radios and sometimes some of them get broken.
Maybe the stream location changed, or the codec used. Bottom line is they're
using mplayer in order to find information about the stream.

I've used kaa.metadata in the past and know for a fact that it works quite
well when opening local audio "streams" (i.e. audio files). I just tried
opening an http audio stream today (e.g. http://67.159.45.166:8221) and
kaa.metadata.parse returned None.

So here comes the question: is it possible right now? If not, is it planned
for the near-future?

Thanks & cheers
Juan Manuel
