Perhaps the screensaver plugin can be modified to do this, perhaps check to see if its late at night (or past a configed time) and once idle for a certain amout of time instead of turning on the screensaver, shutdown the machine instead.
Just rambling... -Rob

Hello,
Is there a way of doing an automatic shutdown in freevo? I usually watch movies at late night and sometimes I get sleep :-)
What I want is a way of setting a time or interval of time to shutdown the computer. Usually the TVs have a timer to shutdown. I want something like that.
The plugin could be simple. Just a way to specify an interval of time. When activated it could call the "at" program to do a shutdown of the system or another activity. Another way of doing it is programming a timer structure inside the plugin that calls the programs specified in the config file.
Maybe there is something similar already in freevo.
Thanks
