To answer my own question; they switched from 3.3V to 1.5V in the AGP4x
standard and to stop numbnuts like me from doing something Bad(tm) they
changed the slot so the old cards no longer fit. So now I know.
Btw, am I right in assuming that new AGP slots are physically
different from old 1x AGP cards for a reason and that it's a Bad Idea
to try and fit them together? 8)
