Just put a plain-text file named .password into the folder and write the
password into it, digits preffered, as they can be easily entered via
remote!

 How about being able to password protect directories?

 I know that someone can circumvent this via going in via the  command line,
or via ssh, but would be nice so that the  average use is restricted while
in the freeevo interface.
