[Freevo-users] Freevo automatically lowering volume to 90 on startup breaks audio recording on IVTV

I'm sure that I'm not the first to notice this, but somewhere during 
startup the volume register of my ivtv driver gets reset to 90. This 
would be a great default value on a normal 0-100 scale, however the ivtv 
driver operates with a 16-bit number that goes to 65535 and 90 is 
obviously as close to zero as to be totally muted for all intents and 
purposes.

I tried to change this with the VCR_PRE_REC command, but this never gets 
invoked - possibly because ivtv is a special case?

Anyone know a fix for the problem?
