(Latest and latest-1) LIRC 0.7 RPM from ATRPMs, sir-module, together with
FC3 kernel 2.6.9 and 2.6.10 no problems over here.

for my sir-module, lirc0 instead of lirc is used. Hence I have to start
lircd with "-d /dev/lirc0" or do a ln -s /dev/lirc0 /dev/lirc (This is out
of my head, I'm not in front of a Linux machine right now. So forgive me
if there are errors in the detail...).

Same with irrecord, I had to point it to /dev/lirc0 instead.
