"You haven't said which version of freevo you are using. I would guess 1.5.x.

In freevo-1.6.x the ioctl for ivtv are simply ignored

In freevo-1.7.x the ioctls are now implemented

My apologies for not putting the Freevo version into the first post... Baby
started fussing so I hit send without thinking...

I was running the Debian packages of 1.5.4 when I first encountered the errors
(it simply wouldn't record). I don't run the freevo gui on this box, since
it's a multi-pupose server; I just run the record server and the webserver. I
did remember reading that 1.6.x addressed the issues, so I upgraded to the
Debian packaged 1.6.0, and restarted everything. Still had the same problem.
Rebooted the box, same problem. I suppose it could be picking up remnants of
1.5.4; maybe I should purge freevo and re-install?

Are there .debs of 1.7.X, or is it still just in svn? I prefer to keep within
apt wherever possible...

Thanks for your time, and all your hard work on Freevo. It just rocks!

/Mike
