Yeah, I also feel that at least the capturing side of HD is not going to
be feasible even in the medium term.  Fortunately there is an increasing
amount of HD content being posted to Usenet.  I really have no problems
paying the cable/satellite providers for content, but considering the
content providers make every possible effort to control everything up to
(and nearly including) my retina, I also can't say I have a strong moral
problem downloading said content.  (Particularly considering I'm already
paying them anyway.)

I've been considering writing a plugin for grabbing video from usenet
within Freevo.  Pretty much all the stuff I want is posted to
alt.binaries.tv, and most of it is in high def.
