This is a good one (at least for me !) : In my local_conf.py file is the following line : VLC_CONF = CONF.vlc (That means : put in VLC_CONF the content of the vlc field in freevo.conf ! Somewhat a long way to the information...) But this is not needed by mplayer for instance. So I guess that some form of initialisation is missing...
