Duncan, About point 2: If I delete the .freevo directory, the cache is completely gone, and thus a 'freevo cache' rebuilds the cache anyway am I correct? In that case I have already rebuilded the cache :-P
I'll try to reinstall kaa this evening and see if it makes any difference.
