I spent a bit of time on this and it seems that the livepause plugin fails. I
cannot get a consist result as to why the livepause plugin fails. Sometimes it
is when freevo starts, other times it lasts hours.

THe error is as follows.

Subject: Re: [Freevo-users] cannot watch tv with livepause plugin

A long time was probably a little exagerated - sorry about that
it was about 6 seconds between when i first saw the bufering message to when i
could watch the station.

I have spent a while looking at the xserver setup and found the fglrx driver
wasnt installed correctly, fixed that, set freevo and all media players to use
xv instead of x11 and attempted it again.

vlc seems to work the first time, but if i quit vlc and attempt to watch tv
again i dont see vlc playing the stream just the on screen msg saying "playing
stationname"
i found that vlc wasnt quitting properly so when i forced it to quit, i still
just got the osd.

i did get it working though by uninstalling vlc and xine and reran freevo
setup. livepause now uses mplayer and it works without a problem. although it
feels like it takes 4-6 seconds to change channel or buffer a new station.
exiting and playing the same station is much faster.

while watching tv and pressing record, how does freevo respond to this
does it send the stream to the buffer? is it meant to send it to the record
server when i exit or straight away?

these are the debug messages i get when i press record
