Hi dirk

The problem is that I tried it with the "wl join imode ibss". That's why I had the idea to look into the script. On my Asus device the interface didnt come up at all. The mode has been managed and the essid hadn't been set at all. After I did the change to the script it worked.

I know that you don't want to use iwconfig. I tried several options. Probably it is just a problem with this device but I couldn't get it to work with 'wl'. I think i tried all relevant options of wl...

Do you or anyone else have another idea how it should be possible to set the ad-hoc mode with wl?

Hi

I just tried the new svn version. And I had to find out that the adhoc
mode isn't working. There is just one line missing in the svn. I treid
it on a asus wl-500g Premium.

I will not use iwconfig if it is not necessary. In my opinion you
statement is similar to "wl join imode ibss". Please post the relevant
interface configuration and the difference between the iwconfig output
before and after your change.
