If you know what you're doing, it's quite straightforward. Integrating it into the ADK should however rather be a job for a developer, as it needs deeper insight into the system. To point you to the right direction, read the kernel source documentation about initrd, initramfs and the path I told you in my last mail. When you already have a checkout compiled for rb-2.4, you'll find the (compiled) kernel sources at build_mipsel/linux. To be able to recompile the kernel correctly, you need to add staging_dir_mipsel/bin to your path (adding the missing part to make the path absolute, of course), and to 'export CROSS_COMPILE=mipsel-linux-uclibc-'. The rootfs is (more or less complete) in build_mipsel/root, but beware: uid and gid are wrong, and things like the suid-bit of busybox are missing. Ok. From now on investigating further would mean integrating a solution into the ADK for me, so this should be enough for you to set it up. If you made it and you can think of a way we could get this available in ADK without breaking everything, you're welcome to email me your ideas privately (n0-1 <AT> freewrt <DOT> org). > freewrt is quite nice, hope to see a forum going at some time !! Thx alot. Indeed there is currently a discussion about setting up some wiki. /me prefers mailinglists though, not only because it's the "traditional" way of doing things. :) Happy hacking, Phil _______________________________________________ freewrt-users mailing list [email protected] https://www.freewrt.org/lists/listinfo/freewrt-users
