I am deep in meteorology right now so I hope you won’t be offended if I give you an iPhone-Ish quick response. Why not a  dialectic between a love of convergence and a fascination with the, a dialectic that never settles? I believe you computer folk have a name for that?

and the crufty lint I found in my navel today was roughly the circular tail chase of:

     * affording to know
     * affording to act
     * affording to judge

and the complement/negation of each

it seems to be a scissors-paper-stone influence/causal loop which nominally is virtuous when we run it forward, but vicious when we run it backward?
