As most of you know, Runningwater was diagnosed with breast cancer
back in September. Since then, it's been a fight to keep our heads
above water and I haven't been around much. At the present time, I
am working 11 hours a day and her treatments are now done.
I just wanted you all to know that I and Runningwater are still here. It's
just that I haven't had the time to devote myself to the issues of our
  peoples.
I apologize for not being around to help with things or get issues for our
Native peoples noticed or resolved. I also apologize for all the birthday's
& funerals & other events we've had to miss. If we missed your anniversary
or birthday or any other special occasion, CONGRATULATIONS!
Hopefully it will only be a few more weeks before I can get back into
the mix and we can all get back to what American Indian Injustice Group
is all about and letting the establishment know,
You Can't Kick Us Around Anymore!

In the meantime, our brothers & sisters in the Lumbee Nation
need our help with the hearing for Lumbee bill H.R.65.

A U.S. House committee will hold another hearing on the Lumbee
recognition legislation H.R.65 on April 18. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Mike
McIntyre, a Lumberton, NC, Democrat, offers the Lumbee tribe official
federal recognition. Instead of this partial recognition non-sense the
government
gave the Lumbee years ago. Partial recoginition does nothing for the people.

Please contact your U.S. Congress person at
  http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home

Let them know you support the the passing of the Lumbee Recognition bill
H.R.65.
  Your Help Is Needed Now!

The tribe has been fighting for years to earn the recognition. It has
been opposed by some other tribes, including the Eastern Band of the
Cherokees based in western North Carolina .

A companion bill in the Senate is sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Dole, a
Salisbury Republican.

Among those testifying at the hearing will be McIntyre, Lumbee Tribal
Chairman Jimmy Goins and Indiana University men's basketball coach
Kelvin Sampson, a member of the Lumbee tribe.

Thank You All for your Help!
Please Pass this to All You Know!
