hi ironiq (and others)

today i've downloaded rc7 - sorry but it sucks

when releasing -current snapshots, the rule is the following: if the
version is a date, like 20060402, then i might be untested. when
releasing with a name, then it _must_ be tested

don't tell me that anyone tested rc7, it has big typos, like syntax
errors in xconfig, missing boot parameters (using splash=silent but no
vga=foo). if one would even _once_ booted this cd, i'm sure it would not
hit the ftp sites

i've created a livecd project in the bts, here are the concrete
problems:
http://bugs.frugalware.org/536
http://bugs.frugalware.org/537
http://bugs.frugalware.org/538
http://bugs.frugalware.org/539
http://bugs.frugalware.org/540

so what i would like to ask is to push a new iso with a name _only if_
you tested it. if it just autogenerated without any testing, then push
it with a date - and probably nobody will download it. the normal usage
of those isos are:
1) you generate the iso for yourself
2) you know somebody _will_ download it

and please remove rc7 from the ftp for now, as it is broken and does not worth
downloading

udv / greetings,
VMiklos
