hi Alex (and the others :) ),
what about creating a simple web interface for security.xml?
something like http://frugalware.org/security/, where:
1) one would get a list of recent fsas (last 10 or so)
2) a link to the full list of fsas
3) http://frugalware.org/security/<number> or so to access a fsa
directly
4) maybe an rss feed
i hope you'll like the idea and you'll be able to find some time to
implement it :)
The idea is good, quiet easy to implement, but how would you fill the page:
- from web interface,
- parsing a letter from a security list,
- showing the subject of the letter and a link to it on the page,
- parsing the rss feed of bugs?
Maybe you haven't noticed that the security list is generated from
security.xml :) All we'd need to do is parse the XML file like news does.
The idea is really good, but if you want to automatize this page, the
implementation can be interestig.

p.s.: i have an idea: the security maintainer fills the page and the letter
to the list is sended by this script (and in the future, can be also added to
bugs)
