Hi, I was talking about making initramfs for Frugalware, as you all know (it's not something new) mkinitcpio package from arch with the dependencies (rebuilt) works *as is* on FrugalWare, The problem is that udev will drop klibc so I want to rawrite it to use something else.
VMiklos suggested to use dietlibc, Dietlibc can be used to get more binaries but I'm afraid udev doesn't compile under it (Donno where You got the info from VMiklos but it doesn't), So can you please suggest something else to replace klibc with ?? I'll vote for busybox because apparently they got a built-in udev support[1] (though I haven't tried it yet) I just want to make sure what you guys are aiming to have, so I can begin working on re-writing it for other than klibc... :) Thx [1]: http://buildroot.busybox.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/trunk/buildroot/package/udev/ -- Wael Nasreddine http://wael.nasreddine.com PGP: 1024D/C8DD18A2 06F6 1622 4BC8 4CEB D724 DE12 5565 3945 C8DD 18A2 .: An infinite number of monkeys typing into GNU emacs, would never make a good program.
