I wonder - in what circumstances would a bug delay a Frugalware
release? I worry that Frugalware is released with some noticeable,
easily-fixed bugs, when it may look better if these are resolved

my hand to help here, so anyone's free to tell me to go somewhere
else. :)

Of course both methods can result in a high quality product. In case of
Frugalware, you can always know when do you get the release, but the
"what" is usually decided in the last minute of "before freeze". ;)

In short: don't worry, we'll have the feature freeze after rc2 to fix as
many bugs as time permits.
Well, i think the 1week freeze period is not enough. Not enough to test all the isos, most of the possible cases on as much hw as possible. As i said several times earlier, we should do a feature freeze after rc1 and pushing only really needed things, which is tested before pushing. As i don't maintain too much packages i think i don't have too much right to decide what to do, these are only offers. I'm just talking about my opinions i got using Frugal in every day usage. Please think about this a little bit. 1 week is not enough for a test period, creating iso, testing them and waiting for mirrors.
