I have finished up enough of grub2 for it to be tested by other developers. Just updating to the subzero repo will not break the GRUB1 installation you have in your MBR. There are specific instructions on how to proceed with it, which are located in the upgrade.txt in current. I will open testing for 1 week, and if there are no remaining issues, it will be merged after that time. Here are the instructions:
Add this to /etc/pacman-g2.conf, ensuring it is before current. Include = /etc/pacman-g2/repos/subzero Add this to /etc/pacman-g2/repos/subzero: [subzero] Server=http://ftp.frugalware.org/pub/other/people/ryuo/subzero/frugalware-@CARCH@ Replace @CARCH@ with your appropriate architecture. Now: pacman-g2 -Syu And reboot. Now, confirm that GRUB1 still boots. If so, proceed with the upgrade as described here, under the 'GRUB2 upgrade' section: http://ftp.frugalware.org/pub/frugalware/frugalware-current/docs/upgrade.txt Thanks for testing. _______________________________________________ Frugalware-devel mailing list [email protected] http://frugalware.org/mailman/listinfo/frugalware-devel
