Works fine here, I'm impressed about the detailed doc you provided, thanks for that! One more thing: we need to find out how to use a serial console with grub2. Luckily qemu supports emulating a serial console, so this should not be hard. The grub1 instructions are for example here: http://vmiklos.hu/blog/amtterm But this can be resolved even after merging subzero to current, it's not a blocker.
