The last time I tried KDE4 with ubuntu -one month ago- was pretty
horrible. Crashes happened every 2 minutes.

While it may be cool to try -- IMHO -- it is not ready 'yet' for our
everyday use.

While I don't have KDE4, my advice is you can install ubuntu 8.04 and
then modify the repo to talc, and then install the KDE4 package.
