TL;DR: If you are looking for something interesting to study/tinker with over the cold & boring winter break, why don't you attend FSCK's last meeting this Thursday. Tons of interesting information, from software to hardware hacking.
***************************************************************************** Hi FSCKers, I hope that everyone can still keep up with your homework and exams :-) it's crazy, I know. But if you can spare 45 minutes attending FSCK this Thurdays, this meeting can probably inspire and benefit you a lot! So you may already know that we have several new workstations in the nerdery. Dr Bindner and I were working on them and it turned out that we learned a lot of interesting things as we were doing this small project. We think all that we learned is interesting for the curious, too. We decided that we'll publish the project, call it "truck" and invite you to join us. We'll talk about the ideas, as well as some technical aspects of it such as Live filesystem (SquashFS), network boot (PXE), and some chip programming/flashing and probably some other interesting stuff. See all of you there! PS: Location VH1200, Thurdays, 5PM. ----------------------------------------------------------------- To get off this list, send email to [email protected] with Subject: unsubscribe -----------------------------------------------------------------
