Intermediate Parallel Programming & Cluster Computing
in conjunction with the
National Computational Science Institute (NCSI)/SC11 Conference,
available LIVE VIA VIDEOCONFERENCING
(streaming video recordings coming soon) 

This summer tutorial workshop is being sponsored by the Department
of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program and the
National Computational Science Institute (NCSI) with support from
TeraGrid (now XSEDE), Blue Waters, the SC 2011 conference's Education
Program, and Oklahoma EPSCoR.

This tutorial workshop covers not only how to do parallel
computing, but also how to teach it, and how to use parallel
computing in your teaching, not only in teaching Computer
Science but also in teaching domain Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

A detailed, tentative list of topics can be found below.

The prerequisites for this Intermediate workshop are:

* substantial programming experience in C, C++ and/or Fortran,
recently;

* substantial experience with any Unix-like operating system
(including but not limited to Linux), recently;

* at least one semester of programming in MPI, recently;

* moderate familiarity with OpenMP, recently.

The tutorial workshop will be *FREE*, and we're still accepting
applications for remote offsite participation LIVE VIA
VIDEOCONFERENCING.
