At the beginning of the year I started writing an open-source,
lightweight Android library to read RSS feeds [1].

This Android library features XML stream parsing, basic data
structures such as hash tables, unit testing, integration testing and
API design. The project is small. It is also useful (that's always a
good thing). And it tends to follows industry-standard engineering
principles. I guess for at least one of these reasons, it is used by
other developers.

I am now looking for someone (preferably a student) who is keen on
broadening his or her open-source development skills while taking on
this project.

The responsibilities include:

* Scrutinizing and merging patches
* Fixing reported defects
* Addressing questions about the library

To get a feel for these procedures, have a look at this recent defect
report [2].

When I was a student, I got actively involved with open-source and it
shaped my passion for software engineering. For this reason, I am
sending out this email to give someone else the opportunity to learn
by doing.

If you are interested, feel free to get in touch.

Kind regards,
Alex
