Thanks Pat.....and others....
Actually It is a project that has a video that plays just fine, but the client wants it to play in a much larger screen size. I can do this, but it means increasing data rate to keep the quality up with the increase in frame size. I don't want to increase the data rate as file size then increases.....longer to load.......etc.

What I have done once before which was using director, was to change the screen res on the fly before launching the video, which increases the size of the video quite a bit, with out loss of quality etc....then once video had finished playing, the screen res was reset back to original. That worked well for the windows platform.....but....

The trouble is I am windows based and this CD is X Platform so I cannot use Director.......as I don't have a Mac and a Mac version of director........It is very annoying that Macromedia didn't produce a X platform Director.....

Subject: [fugli] Re: Screen resolution

Hi Michael,

All I can suggest perhaps as I usually build them with the content at 800 x 600 with a border around it
making up the rest of the 1024 x 768 dimensions and then using the fs command tell it to run at fullscreen.
Are you finding that it distorts, is that what you mean by play correctly?

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Pat

Subject: [fugli] Screen resolution

G'Day all

Does any one know how to change the screen resolution from a flash projector?
E.G if the hosts computer has a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 and the content
in the flash projector needs a screen resolution of 800 by 600 to play correctly......
Can the screen res be changed to suit content of projector and then reset to original once projector finish's?

Thanks in advance

Michael
