If the data is only present in the SWF during runtime you should be ok. If you have compiled the data into the SWF when it was put together from the FLA then that's another matter :D

Of course, people can always sniff packets between the downloaded Flash movie on their box and your data source. SSL is a possibility to make it more secure, not sure if Flash supports that yet?

I remember the ING cup cricket game (or similar) used GET to transfer the score to the server. This was a great idea as you could dump the URL into the browser and it would log your high score without validation :D
