Rather than step into the entirety of this, I'll address this single point and move along. Companies such as IBM and Dell which are two of the bigger players provide the option of having no OS or linux installed rather than Windows, and they aren't alone. A couple years ago, no, there would have been no option. Not so today. The problem is consumer education. If the consumer doesn't *know* they have other options they aren't going to go looking for them.
