Given they were working on this before the McAfee purchase _and_ Intel's CTO is quite dismissive of "signature based malware detection" (not to mention quite clearly very ill-informed about much of that), one has to wonder why they spent so much on a company whose main products are so squarely in the "signature-based malware detection" market segment.
