That's not the real shame... The real shame is the greivous failure of our education systems such that most people are not even aware that there are issues around this technology that they should be asking some very pointed questions about. Steve Jobs, et al's great success is not that they design such sexy kit, but that they so trivially redefined such a significant chunk of the computing eco-system while, ever so ironically, becoming the evil empire that the famous Macintosh "1984" advertisement suggested they were saving the world from.
