Guys,
This is just a general question about the best way for the system to
work. I downloaded an MMW show today, and it's a great show. The problem
is that the files are named according to the name of the song, so they
group alphabetically in Windows Explorer, and in WinAmp. So for this
particular show, I'd have to go to some effort to figure out the right
order to play the songs. I noticed that in general, people usually name
the files consistently gd09-12-79d1t1 etc.
Should naming be left up to the person sharing the file set, or should
Furthur auto-generate names that will sort in order or something like
that? Just looking for opinions.
One of the nice perks to working on this system is that I'm inevitably
ending up with a lot of tunes as I test stuff. My favorites so far: SCI
5-26-00 (this show is incredible) and Bruce&Bela 4-24-96 (I love the piano
on top of Bela's jams). Thanks for bearing with me over the past couple of
days. We don't have any more major changes on the list, just a ton of
little enhancements to make the system more usable. So hopefully the
stability is here to stay, and we'll be able to fine tune it for max
performance.
