Hello there, I downloaded the program last night, and after a little help I got it set up. I have only used it a little but as I need to get to bed. Here are a couple of my comments. Some are positives some negatives. 1. It's very easy to install and the interface seems to be very easy to navigate. I like the search function. Although I think more documentation is needed. When you type in a specific show it goes on forever with the search. Now I know that it's probably because no one online has that show. But It seems like it should be able to detrmine that alot quicker and let you know that there is no file under that name available. The web site says just do a new search. Thas fine, but it would cause less confusion if the search ended and then told you to try again. 2. I like the ability to see the info about the show with a double click, very cool. 3. The only real downside I found about using Furthur is the available download speeds. I know some has to do with the connection on the other end. But if I select a show on a T1 line I would hope I'd get better than 12 KB/s. When using ftp I can down off a T1 quite a bit faster. I'm not a programer and I'm fairly niave about the whole Gnutella protocol but is the slower speeds inherit in this type of P2P program? 4. I think that this has much promise in the future and I am sure it will grow. I wonder what the thought is in making Video, Programs ect available in future releases. I guess I am thinking about it in etree terms. While I think that cyberial has plans much larger than .shns. I think in order to keep us all from RIAA prosecution (I'm mostly thinking of cyberial). allowing other than .shn may cause problems.
Again, these are justa few thoughts relating to my intial experience. I'm gonna play with more tonight and try a full download and see what goes.
