Michael,
Let's talk we run 2 DUAL 800 Linux boxs with each 1 gig of ram. and use a
product called LISTSERV (lsoft.com)
we run the HPO version so its capable of sending out upto 250,000 per list
wihtout really slowing down we have great success at sending about 5-10
million mails a month if you want to work up something i think i can swing
my boss on the idea we have 2 T1's into the complex with plenty of spare
bandwith
Give me a call or icq me or something, i am sure we can help out.

Use Majordomo on a linux box. I am running lists with over 600 people with
no problem. List speed is excellent. It is FREE other than having a place
to host it.
