If you set on using a zip method you could use CF To do the job for you.
Their are several CF ZIP tags that you use to zip up your files, then just
move the zip archive to a location you can download it from. (say a web link
on a hidden, password protected page). Or you could move it with CFFILE, or
put it on another FTP site with CFFTP, email it to yourself with CFMAIL :-)
Numerous options (though I would recommend an offsite tape backup for
serious backup dependability :-)
