Well, if people are really interested, and you are willing to use PHP, then phpBB is
one of the best free, open-source forums around. They are on RC-4 of phpBB 2.0 now,
and that means full release is very close indeed. I use RC-2 for a board I host, and
find it to be quite good. And phpBB has a very, very active community. If the forums
must be CF-based, then I don't know any personally (but then again, I have never
looked ;p)

Cheers,
Keith.

Have to agree with that one. There are plenty of free forum services if
that's an issue. It's just a matter of picking one, agreeing upon it,
and informing everyone to use it. I would be happy to look into it if
there is great interest.

Subject: Forum Suggestion

I would like to post a suggestion concerning this list in general. I
would find it more efficient if this list converted to a threaded
discussion forum, rather than an e-mail list. In my humble opinion, it's
much easier to follow a threaded discussion forum and being selective on
which threads fits ones interest. I know this would require some
bandwidth on the administrators side, as well as server space but I
thought I would throw in my two cents anyway ;)
