>My understanding of it is to use Directsmile - you can only use their images to personalize but if you use XMPie's uImage you can create variable images with your own image. Hello, Brian I heard another customer ask about this as well. It sounds like there's been some communication of incorrect information to the market as this is not true at all. DirectSmile allows you to create your own images if you want to. In fact, you can download their FREE "DirectSmile Designer" product from their website and start creating designs today. You can get the designer from this URL: http://www.directsmile.de/index.php?id=freedesigner You can use the Designer to create your own image template (or "imageset", as DirectSmile calls them) and proof it in the Designer. This image template can then be used with the other DirectSmile products to create mass personalized images from a database. DirectSmile does offer imagesets for purchase if you would rather buy an existing imageset rather than create your own with the Designer product. Perhaps this offering of selling images is the reason for this misinformation. At about $120 for some sets, though, which have been professionally created and tested, I can see people buying 1 of these sets and it actually being cheaper than producing the super-professional look that may take them a few hours to perfect (meaning the set purchase is cheaper than the cost of the time needed to create something of this high of a quality). The sets available for purchase are located here: http://www.directsmile.de/shop/index.php?cat=c7_Ready-made-Sets.html&XTC sid=c8a16ab8d9cbf857900e5fe83d85ffa0
