The business situation that in comes up in: when one company (a
manufacturer or distributor) is providing marketing support to its
customers (retailers that sell the product), the templates need to be
flexible in terms of branding. Branding usually takes form of logos
and
colors. So I'm pre-loading all the Pantone colors into my templates
to be
able to brand the text in the template with the retailers' brand
colors,
no matter what they may be.
Your situation makes a lot of sense to me. I would compare this to
where one would want to pick from a swatch book in a design
application--of course they will want to pick the colors allowed by
their brand guidelines. I will file a feature request, if one does
not already exist. Thanks!
