The swiss were pretty rich and smug
before Hitler's time. It is a good example,
that if the society is effluent enough,
the ethnic strife becomes a thing of the past.
(Doesn't make them all that friendly
and guest-loving though...)
However, given our beloved capitalism, such
peaceful, prosperous times are transient;
insecurity and poverty will bring out all the
alienation and aggressivity wherever you are
whichever minority/majority is persecuted
as the alleged cause for all misery.
It could even happen to the swiss given an
implosion of the financial/tourist/cookoo
clock sector...
