Now we see the light.

Here is another twist.

The British Columbia Provincial government is currently placing the B.C.
Hydro (publicly owned) or what remains of it on the world market as part of
the NAFTA free trade scenario. The highest bidder, of course, is from the
U.S. Nothing personal and I know nationalism is not good but I do not wish
to be part of THIS United States of America. Thirty years ago, I had other
notions, then Watergate hit and we were still in the Trudeau era, so I
changed my mind.

Really good times for the arts then Ray.

Anyway, our governments are selling off the public trusts in this country at
an alarming rate with no consideration of what the original intent was in
setting up these services. Manufacturing is one thing but raw resources or
the basics of the community life is another.

It all goes along with the "14 points...",

Darryl

P.S. Hydro rates are expected to rise 30 - 60% but, after seeing the same
occurrence in Ontario, I expect the rates to double.
