Mikhael, just to check if the problem is a compiler issue, I compiled fvwm - without optimization - with gcc (2.8.1) But this did not change anything. Then I tried FvwmDebug and found the following in its output (pointer to first icon in IconBox and double click): Focus ID 1c00004 frame ID 800080 focus not by builtin 1 Error [FVWM][HandleModuleInput]: <<ERROR>> Module(2) \ command is too big (7957688231770718215), limit is 1000 Destroy ID 1c00004 frame ID 800080 fvwm ptr 140127aa0 Maybe this is a first hint to locate the problem.
