It's a bit hard to get the pointer out of the Xnest window without
moving the mouse.  Most of the time it's more trouble than using
debug fprintfs.

Yup.

Maybe, but maybe not.  XFree 3.x worked fine most of the time, but
with XFree 4.x things got a lot worse, even with the same gfx
card.  Also, switching X servers generates some funny and unwanted
mouse events on the server switched to.
