They pretty much got a patent on the whole virtual desktop idea
coupled with pagers.  Among other claims, any graphical
representation of the virtual desktop seems to have been patented.
As far as I can see now, fvwm would hypothetically infringe the
patent in many ways:

fvwm core:

  claims 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 19, 25

FvwmPager:

  claims 1, 2, 7, 14, 16, 18

FvwmBacker.

  claims 17, 20

FvwmCommand, FvwmConsole, etc.

  claim 19

Existing scripts, menus, FvwmButtons configs

  claims 5, 6

fvwm-theme

  claims 21, 22, 23, 24

I've contacted the FSF.  Maybe I can find something about this
patent in the news.  If not, we have to inform the press.
