Currently I am testing it... Even in the standard installation (replaced v3 with v4) it is faster with TCP traffic (on a 100MBit Network I have gotten permanently 7,5 to 8 MB/Sec and not it is over 9 MB/sec constant) Since I have no real experience with krb5 and ACL it is heavy to learn it but now I see NFS realy usefull... For those which do not know: I mount /home over NFS for all 17 Workstations parallel. But even under vers=3 I had never problems the last 4 years... It depends heavily on the mountoptions. I use: rw,bg,hard,intr,tcp,vers=4,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 Greetings Michelle Konzack Systemadministrator Tamay Dogan Network Debian GNU/Linux Consultant -- Linux-User #280138 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org/ ##################### Debian GNU/Linux Consultant ##################### Michelle Konzack Apt. 917 ICQ #328449886 50, rue de Soultz MSN LinuxMichi 0033/6/61925193 67100 Strasbourg/France IRC #Debian (irc.icq.com)
